... This is all good, but what does it
have to do with body work, and health?
[the morphogenetic field] is like an imaginary blue print for an individual. According to Colorpuncture each individual has a morphogenetic field, which he must realize in order to fulfill his potential as a human being.
If a person lives a life that moves more and more towards fulfilling that potential he/she is born with, then he experiences more joy, more peace, and an inner contentment that comes from that fulillment. It is a rough model because there are many aspects of a person's development which that doesn't take into account. But it is valuable because it also includes in the picture of what a person needs to do the items that may not be utilitarian or financially productive at all. For instance, in this model, it may be important for a person to love, or laugh and share laughter with others, or to paint pictures, or to meditate and explore his consciousness. These things are difficult or impossible to make money from, or to turn into a profession, but they may be vital to a person's fulfilling his/her potential as a human being.
Finally, the point is that a person who is living their potential is feeling more joy and contentment, laughs more, enjoys more, and therefor has a stronger immune system, and stronger resistance to disease. The effects of laughter on the immune system have been studied, as have the effects of crying. Both have been found in clinical research to improve the functioning of the immune system. Further, in terms of the Colorpoint Approach, consistent awareness and expression of the emotions an individual feels is a strong contributing factor to his/her overall health, and even intelligence. Expression of feelings and emotions have no utilitarian value (except perhaps to a professional actor) but are vital to the individual's fulfillment of his/her potential, and therefore also to his/her health.
